Nothing shared, nothing sold, and you can leave any time. Here is exactly what this site collects and where it goes, in plain words.
What I collect when you join
When you sign up for The Tribe Conversation, the form takes your first name and your email address. Alongside those, the site records which cohort you joined, where the link that brought you came from (for example, a social platform or a friend's link), and a scrambled version of your internet address that cannot be turned back into the address itself. That last piece exists only so I can spot abuse of the form.
Where it goes
- My own records. Every sign-up is written to a small private database I run on Cloudflare, so no one is lost if an email service hiccups.
- Kit, the email service I use to send the conversation's emails: the welcome note, the Zoom link, the reminders, and anything I write later. Kit stores your name and email on my behalf. Their policy is at kit.com/privacy.
That is the whole list. I do not sell, rent, trade, or hand your information to anyone else, and I do not run advertising trackers on this site.
The quiet check on the form
The sign-up form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which tells real people apart from automated scripts without making you click on pictures of traffic lights. It runs silently in the background. In doing so, Cloudflare processes some information about your browser and connection; how they handle it is described in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
What the site itself knows
This site is served by Cloudflare, which handles ordinary web traffic logs the way any host does. The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers see the request for the font files. Neither is used by me to identify you.
Leaving, and asking
Every email I send carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Use it and you are off the list, no questions. If you want your details removed from my records entirely, or you want to know what I hold about you, email me at brett@brettlabit.com and I will take care of it personally.
Children
The Tribe Conversation is for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If any of this changes, this page changes with it, and the date below moves.
